University of Guelph

The University of Guelph was established in 1964. Guelph has seven colleges (College of Arts, Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Ontario Veterinary College, College of Biological Science, and Ontario Agricultural College) and three campuses. Guelph is a comprehensive university renowned for its strengths in agri-food, human nutrition, rural development, environmental studies, and engineering.

Alumni of the University of Guelph include novelist Jane Urquhart, organic chemists Laurel Schafer and Mark Lautens, and physicist Robert Leigh.
