University of Toronto Scarborough
The University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) was founded in 1964. UTSC was designed by a Toronto architect named John Andrews and the university received international recognition for its architecture. The University of Toronto Scarborough has been a separate part of the University of Toronto since 1972. It offers the U of T’s only formal co-op programs. UTSC boasts faculty known world-wide for their research. Students can access facilities in their campus and resources at other U of T campuses.
Alumni of the UTSC include writer and poet Téa Mutonji, politician Jennifer McKelvie, chief of Otolaryngology and assistant professor Everton Golden, and founder of Women in Dentistry Effie Habsha.
